더 굿 플레이스 시즌2 영어대본 (The Good Place 시즌 2 에피소드 1)

 

에피소드1  오늘은 여기까지예요!

 

제가 쉐도잉으로 영어 공부 하는 더굿 플레이스 시즌2 대본이예요.
시즌1을 재미있게 이미 본 상태라 다시 시즌1으로 하기에는 지겨워서 못할거 같고 시즌2로 쉐도잉 해보려구요.
아래 대본은 제가 넷플릭스 자막을  보고 노트에 적은 다음에

다시 이곳 블로그에 정리겸 다시 한번 리마인드 하고 싶어서 적은 거예요. 

확실히 2번 쓰게 되니까 좀더 문장이 머리속에 박히는 느낌이예요.
물론 시간은 오래 걸리지만,,, ( 요즘 잉여 시간이 너무 많아요;;;) 

 

Episode 1

 

[Eleanor]
Hey, lady? Can you come back?
Joey? Janine? Jaja?
Why don’t I ever listen to people when they talk about themselves?
No, it’s annoying, and I’m right not to.
Okay, Chidi, Where are you? Or what are you?
A type of soup, maybe?

{indistinct conversation}

[Eleanor] Hi, there. I’m Eleanor.
[Nina] I’m Nina, this is my soulmate, Bart.
[Eleanor] Love it! Love people’s names, and love learning all about them. Where are you all from?

[Bart] Well, oddly enough, I was born in Mozambique--
[Eleanor] cool. Listen, do you guys know if there’s like a neighborhood phonebook with everybody’s name listed in it?
[Nina] Oh, I don’t think so, because there’s no phones here.
[Eleanor] There are no phones here?
Of course. Duh!

{both chuckle}

There’s no use for ‘em
I always prefer talking to people, anyway.
People are like nature’s apps.
[Nina] Hmm, anyway. We’re on our way to get some pizza. Would you like to join us?
Maybe we could get know each other a little bit, chat.
[Eleanor] Uh, I’m good. I’m gonna explore a little bit, but it was so nice to meet you, Nina, and ….. Bye-bye.

[Eleanor] Oh, sorry. I didn’t see you.
Chidi? Are you Chidi?

[Michael] Eleanor? What are you up to?
[Eleanor] Oh! Hey there, Michael.
Just getting to know everyone in the neighborhood. Who was that mysterious gentleman wearing the nightgown?
[Michael] Oh, uh, that’s Jianyu, a Taiwanese monk who never speaks. Might be a little hard to get to know him.
Eleanor, you and I both know that you’re not like everyone else in this neighborhood.
Everyone here led a remarkable life. But you, the work you did as an environmental activist was just extra ordinary.
[Eleanor] Uh… oh, well, it’s the environment.
I mean, I loved….mushrooms.
I can honestly say that.
[Michael] Well, it paid off because you were the number one point-getter in this entire neighborhood. And as such, I was hoping you could say a few words at tonight’s welcome party to introduce yourself?
[Eleanor] How can I say No? Can I say no? It doesn’t feel like I can say no. But if I can, Michael, I’m saying no.
[Michael] Okay, so you’ll speak for maybe an hour or so? Hey, you know what?
I got you something to wear here. All the top point-getters wear these on the first night.
[Eleanor] Oh, you gotta be forking kidding me.

 

[Man] So, long story short, my heart is in the Pope, my liver’s in the Dalai Lama, and my teeth were strung into a necklace for a child king in French Polynesia. But it got me into the Good Place, so can’t complain.
[Eleanor] Wow! Can I tell you something? Just soulmate to soulmate?
[Man] Hold that thought. I’m gonna head to the gym.
[Eleanor] Are you serious? Again, right now?
[Man] Yeah. I’ll catch you later.

[Jessica] Hey, there! Best person. You must be Eleanor. I’m Jessica, the host.
[Eleanor] Hi
[Jessica] Michael told us about your speech.
I can’t wait to hear what you have to say.
[Eleanor] Me neither, Jessica. Me neither.
[Jessica] Aw, don’t be nervous. Here liquid courage.
[Eleanor] Actually, um, you know what?
I think I need to keep a clear head.
Can you imagine getting drunk before giving a big speech? Getting kicked out of your niece’s christening and then, only later, once you’re sobered up, realized you don’t even have a niece? It’s like, who was that kid?

[Man] So, Eleanor, you were an environmental lawyer. That’s fascinating.
[Eleanor] I know. Just don’t ask me questions about it. I am so sick of describing exactly what it means.
[Man] Hey, I’m headed to the bar. Can I grab you something? How about a margarita?
[Eleanor] No, I’m good.
Actually, I’m the best . According to the sash.

[Jessica] She’s still not drinking?
[Man] Nope. Some thing’s off
Should we….
[Jessica] No. Keep it together.
[Man] Yeah.

[Eleanor] Screw it. Couple of quick shots.
Then I’m coming for you, Shrimpies.
[Woman] Please don’t make this harder than it already is, Chidi.
[Eleanor] These are for you. Drink up.
Hi. Is your name Chidi?
[Chidi] Yes.
[Eleanor] Ah! I knew you weren’t a soup.
[Chidi] What?
[Eleanor] Listen to me carefully. My name is Eleanor Shellstrop. We need to talk.

오늘은 여기까지,,,,
하루에 쉐도잉 할수 있는 양이 생각보다 적네요. 좌절 ;;;;
에피소드 하나 끝내는데 이러다가 한달 걸릴지 모르겠어요.

그래도 일단 시작했으니 해봐야죠!!!
